well located; walkable to hiking and ocean sanctuary areas; safe; very quiet; easy access to other coastal areas and activities; restaurants Rooms were private, very comfortable. Light continental breakfast; helpful and accommodating staff. Sunsets views at the water are literally right around the corner.

With a late night flight arrival and a two-hour drive from the airport, we arrived at The Sunset Inn at about 1:30 am - and were greeted warmly (after calling, per instructions, to ensure someone would be present at the front desk to help us) and provided coffee/hot chocolate and a bite to eat, even at this crazy early hour. Our room was comfortable, exceptionally clean and met one one-night-stay purpose (we live locally). Because our arrival was so uncommon, the front desk individual even offered a noon check-out versus the standard 11:00 am check-out time. We even enjoyed the complimentary breakfast choices - donuts, breads, juices, coffee, cereals, yogurt, an expanded continental breakfast for guests. If the need arose again, we wouldn't think of booking a room anywhere else!

Everything was great, and it felt like our trip was enhanced by the excellent service of this hotel. I originally booked a King Suite for one night, but because the King Suite was on the second floor and we had two 23kg suitcases which was very inconvenient for us to move around, so we decided to switch to a room on the ground floor temporarily. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at around 6 or 7 in the evening, and they not only helped us find a suitable room but also helped us carry our luggage. The ground floor room was not as large as the one on the second floor, but overall it was still quite nice. The entire room was heated by a fireplace, which made it very cozy.

The staff was wonderful! Incredibly warm, accommodating, and welcoming. We were assured numerous times that "this was our home for the stay." You can hear the ocean from the room at night. Beds are exceptionally comfortable. Water pressure in the showers was amazing.

We had a staycation for three nights. We are also small business owners who work hard at customer service to take care of our customers for our two businesses. What a great property! Only about 20 cottages on the property, excellent location, great, clean accommodations with high ceilings, walk in shower, rainfall showerhead, gas fire place , big comfortable bed (that says a lot coming from us as we sleep on a custom sleep number bed at home), ample size fridge and microwave , beautiful wood shutters, well lit, and loved the hardwood floors. Continental breakfast is very accommodating for the grab and go crowd but because of the great staff you will want to linger and talk. Their lobby coffee was a coffee bean to latte machine with about 10 different options (Including mocha and hot chocolate) resulting in beautiful product to be savored. Great location for walking, but far enough away for a quiet retreat. The shining glory of the stay itself was the staff. Kind, very accommodating, warm and genuine from the Manager all the way to the Housekeeping staff. Approachable and helpful!
